Wambi Recognition Program
The inventor of Wambi, Alex Coren, was volunteering in Guguletu, South Africa, and heard a teacher encouraging students to be like the Wambi bird, which represented compassion and freedom. When deciding on a name for the platform, Wambi seemed like the perfect fit – practice human kindness and it will set you free!
There is a secured URL accessed via web browser, can be saved to desktop and function much like an app. Team members can use Wambi via smartphone, tablet, iPad, desktop, etc.
When you first log into Wambi on a device, it will ask for your phone number to verify your account. This device will save that phone number, and unless your browser history/cache is deleted or cleared, you won't have to enter your phone number again. Each time you use a different/new device to access your account, you will need to enter your phone number for the two-step verification process.
Patients can use their own phones. Also, ambassadors will collect reviews with an iPad.
Only positive comments will appear in the newsfeed. Negative comments will go to the respective team member’s manager for their review and follow up with the team member.
Team members who don’t have frequent touchpoints with patients will have the peer-to-peer recognition platform only.
Demos will be available as we begin the rollout to the sites. There will be a training available before the official launch at each site, so leaders and team members will be able to see how the platform works.
Pecks are redeemed through the rewards tab. Rewards are currently being finalized.
