Wambi is a team member recognition system, fueled by the voices of all members of the Hackensack Meridian Health community. Unlike other recognition programs we’ve used in the past, Wambi allows team members to receive both peer-to-peer feedback, as well as feedback from patients and family members.
Additionally, the Wambi peer-to-peer recognition program, allows us to provide meaningful, personal recognition that touches all team members during major milestones including onboarding, work anniversaries, birthdays, life events and educational achievements.
In addition to Wambi, we are excited to introduce a new, fun and well, “snappy” way to recognize milestone service anniversaries.
Team members celebrating their milestone service anniversaries can select their service anniversary gift “in a snap” through our new gift vendor, Snappy. On the date of your milestone service anniversary, Snappy will send you a gift email from INFO@SNAPPYGIFTS.COM. You will then be able to swipe across various gift options, select your gift, provide your address and receive the gift in less than a week.

Rooted in our shared culture and beliefs of being Creative, Courageous, Compassionate, and Collaborative, we’re looking at all the critical pieces, from how we attract new team members to developing strong processes and procedures that drive the high trust and high performance culture we all want.

Setting expectations, and identifying potential areas of improvement and growth with an eye towards achieving them, is an important part of your career at Hackensack Meridian Health. We’re in the process of aligning our Performance Management practices, forms, rating scales, and systems to have a network-wide approach. Some audiences may have already seen some changes, some may experience alignments this year, and eventually all team members will be able to participate in an aligned and consistent process, in accordance with their roles within the network.
We’ll look to update our processes to align with and leverage our cultural beliefs – Creativity, Courage, Compassion and Collaboration. In doing so, it will better reflect who we are as a world-class provider and focus on your role in that success.

Learning and Development
Hackensack Meridian Health is a firm believer in supporting the career development goals of our team members through Team Hackensack Meridian University (Team HMU). Under the leadership of Human Resources’ Learning and Development team, Team HMU is an internal network university that supports the learning and development of team members, leaders and physicians at Hackensack Meridian Health. It is supported by certified internal instructors, as well as external training partners. All leaders and team members are encouraged to take advantage of Team HMU’s career development offerings. Throughout 2018 new programs will be added to enhance learning and development opportunities through the network.
New Process for Certification, License and Degree Notification
Hackensack Meridian Health has implemented a new process to receive certifications, licenses and/or degrees. Excluded from this process are BLS, PALS, ACLS and NRP certifications. Team members who have a new/renewed certification, license, and/or degree, are responsible for providing a copy of the certification, license, and/or degree to the designated email address (HumanResources@HackenackMeridian.org), per the License and Certification Verification Policy.
